I'll never forget the day it happened. Almost 3 years ago to the day, feeling unaccomplished and generally stagnant in all aspects of my life, after trying to run in a pair of Air Jordans, I decided to buy new Nike running shoes, shorts, and a dri-fit tee and decided "I'm going to run today!" That's all it took. After a mile of sprinting, panting, and flailing my arms wildly to get as much "exercise" as I could...I walked back home, drenched in sweat, but proud that I made the effort. I never stopped after that point. I would play the song "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" by Tears for Fears each time I ran because it gave me goosebumps and became a spiritual experience for me...fast forward 3 years later, on my second half marathon and easily keeping a 7:41" pace, I thank God for the journey and where it has taken me...need tips on how to run? I can show you here. Excited for the next Rock 'n' Roll Marathon and proud of my bro Jared for being the ultimate wingman. Onward!
